Architecture Biennale 2021: How will we live together?

Refik Anadol, Sense of Space.

Curator Hashim Sarkis, architect, professor and researcher at MIT in Boston, presents this year a multidisciplinary Biennale involving architects, researchers and artists. To all of them, Sarkis asked to imagine the ways of the future coexistence between men and other living species.

Through the two locations of the Giardini and the Arsenale you see proposals and suggestions from all over the world.

Imaginative immersive installations that aim to change the perception of space, the use of robotics that reveals the changes taking place in the world of work, urban projects for increasingly populous cities and our relationship with flora and fauna reveal the complexity of our age.

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Life Beyond Earth.

The exhibition talks about the most important issues of our time: the spirit of adaptation to climate and landscape changes, microbiology as our ally, flexible spaces that welcome composite communities, and care for nature.

Studio Ossidiana, Variations on a Bird Cage.

About eight hundred explanatory panels accompany the exhibition.

My guided tours, designed for small groups, help to orientate oneself among the projects and the works and insert them into the great themes that are debated today.
